Communities and Information Sharing (Talk)

Today I took the opportunity to give a talk at the Physics’ Department of my University. I was invited by some friends from the student’s association of that department, with the purpose to incite the freshmen students to collaborate more with the association’s activities and to share their own experiences.

The selected theme was Communities and Information Sharing. It was an introduction to the consumers are the new producers movement and a presentation of some of the new ways to collaborate with others. I have to apologise to my foreign readers but the presentation is in Portuguese.

Also, this was my first presentation made using SlideRocket and I can say that the experience was very good. The image searching tools are very useful, and the overall simplicity and good design that the application enables is definitely a plus. The AIR desktop client with presentation caching features is also an essential tool for presenting offline.
